Visiting the Church

We welcome all visitors, as tourists and pilgrims. The church is normally open daily during daylight hours. However, if you are travelling from a distance and wish to double-check that they will be unlocked for your visit, just get in touch. We also ask that larger, organised groups make contact with us in advance of their visit.

The church has a printed leaflet available to point out some of its notable features. You will also find a toilet in the north transept!

If you are planning to spend a little longer in the area, you will find several places to eat and drink in Whissendine. The Three Horseshoes is a traditional local pub where you can be sure of good conversation along with your pint. The White Lion is a lovely place for lunch or an evening meal. Slipcote is a stylish place for coffee, as well as being the village shop and Post Office. All three are on Main Street, a few minutes walk from the church.
